Features, description and more
Vicious, majestic, and utterly captivating, the 2024 $5 Sea Serpent 2oz Silver Proof coin stands as the flagship issue in the popular Mythical Creatures series. Struck to flawless Proof standard from two troy ounces of 99.9% pure fine silver, this large-format 55mm issue captures the terrifying sea monster popularised in 19th-century folklore. The dynamic reverse reveals a menacing close-up of the beast twisting through churning oceanic waves, expertly highlighted with vivid digital colour application.
Designed for mythology enthusiasts and modern silver proof collectors, the coin boasts high-contrast mirror fields, frosted relief, and an exceptional nautical obverse featuring antique map creatures around the Niue Coat of Arms. The oversized diameter provides an expansive canvas that showcases every serpentine scale and aquatic detail with incredible depth and optical impact.
Preserved in untouched condition inside its official presentation display box, each coin is accompanied by an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity verifying its weight and fine silver content. With an ultra-exclusive limited mintage of just 750 pieces worldwide, this sovereign legal tender release offers immense scarcity and strong secondary market potential.
