Celebrate the 2024 Year of the Dragon with the Perth Mint Lunar Series III Golden Dragon 1/2oz Silver Coloured Bullion Coin.
Struck from 1/2oz of 99.99% pure silver, this colourful release presents the legendary Chinese dragon in rich shades of gold, orange, blue and teal. The design combines traditional symbolism with contemporary numismatic artistry and features the special ‘P125’ mintmark celebrating The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.
With a worldwide limited mintage of 200,000 coins and presentation in a protective plastic capsule, the Golden Dragon is a distinctive addition to the range of coloured 2024 Lunar Dragon releases.
The reverse features a full-colour Chinese dragon soaring through swirling clouds. Rendered in shades of gold, orange, blue and teal, the dragon twists across the design as a symbol of power, wisdom and good fortune.
A glowing pearl surrounded by flames appears before the dragon, representing prosperity and enlightenment. The reverse also incorporates the Chinese character for Dragon (龍), the inscriptions ‘DRAGON’ and ‘2024’, and The Perth Mint’s special ‘P125’ anniversary mintmark.
The obverse features the Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Effigy with the inscriptions ‘QUEEN ELIZABETH II’ and ‘1952–2022’, together with the coin’s weight, purity, metal content, face value and country of issue.
