Celebrating Australia’s largest bird of prey, the 2025 $1 Birds of Australia Wedge-tailed Eagle 1oz Silver Proof Coin marks the sixth release in the acclaimed wildlife series. Struck from 99.9% pure silver as official legal tender of Niue, this collectible issue draws direct artistic inspiration from the historic 19th-century ornithological works of John Gould. The design seamlessly integrates a special 'JG' privy mark in his honor, lending exceptional historical, natural, and numismatic significance to the piece.

Struck to flawless proof standard, the high-detail relief stands out against deeply mirrored fields, delivering incredible visual contrast and supreme eye appeal. Each coin is safely encapsulated and housed in a display case, complete with an official numbered Certificate of Authenticity that ensures origin security and presentation prestige.

With an exceptionally low mintage of only 750 coins worldwide, this release holds strong long-term collector value. It is an essential addition for modern silver proof enthusiasts, series builders, and Australian wildlife collectors seeking rare crown-sized legal tender issues.
